DIRECT LICENSING DISTRIBUTION POLICY

Last updated: 4 June 2025

Peter Muldoon Music is committed to ensuring that artists, collaborators, and licensees understand how rights are managed and how income from sound recordings is distributed.

This Distribution Policy applies to all master recordings created by Peter Muldoon Music, a sole-trader business based in Brisbane, Australia. All recordings made in the Peter Muldoon Music studio are owned by Peter Muldoon Music unless explicitly stated otherwise in a written agreement.

1. Ownership and Rights

Peter Muldoon Music retains full ownership of the master sound recordings produced in its studio. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all rights associated with these recordings-including licensing for public performance, broadcast, streaming, compilation, and synchronisation-are held by Peter Muldoon Music.

2. Artist Collaborations

Artists who perform on or contribute to recordings may be entitled to a share of public performance royalties collected by PPCA, as per PPCA’s Artist Direct Distribution Scheme. Participation in this scheme must be arranged between the artist and PPCA directly. Peter Muldoon Music does not handle performer share claims.

3. Licensing and Enquiries

Peter Muldoon Music welcomes licensing enquiries for public performance, broadcast, sync, and compilation use. All enquiries must be submitted directly to Peter Muldoon Music at:

Email: petermuldoonmusic@gmail.com

Peter Muldoon Music does not authorise third parties (including featured artists) to license or approve the use of its master recordings on its behalf. All licensing requests must be reviewed and approved by Peter Muldoon Music.

4. Sync and Compilation Licensing

Requests to use master recordings in film, television, online content, or compilation albums (e.g. “best of” releases) must be approved in writing. These licences may involve additional negotiation depending on the usage, duration, and platform.

5. Distribution of Income

Peter Muldoon Music distributes income from licensed recordings as follows:

– Licensing income is retained by Peter Muldoon Music unless contractually agreed otherwise.

– No automatic royalty splits are assumed unless specified in a separate written agreement.

6. Disputes and Contact

Artists or licensees with concerns regarding this policy should contact Peter Muldoon Music at the email above. Disputes may be referred to the PPCA for clarification where appropriate.
